Trip to Ankara!

Assalamualaikum, dear readers! I've skipped yet another day because I fell asleep early last night, so today there might be two posts. First about our departure from Konya to Ankara, then our first whole day in Ankara.

Sunday morning, we woke up in Konya quite warm, since the heater has been on the whole night. My mom said it was pretty cold, but I slept without a blanket in days. Right after paraders, my dad, Yusuf and I wished my mom a big 'happy birthday'! That's right, it's her special day~! But we couldn't celebrate much that morning because we need to arrive in Ankara before 2pm to return our rental car. So right after breakfast at the hotel's buffet, we packed our things and departed at 10am.

There's not much to record except that it has actually snowed the night before, so the parks were covered with a thin layer of snow. Not long after I got in the car, I fell asleep, so I couldn't see what was outside. About 3 hours later, we arrived at our hotel in Ankara. While my parents both went to send the car, Yusuf and I stayed at the lobby of the hotel, since we didn't check in yet.

Once my parents returned, my mom checked in and we got two connecting rooms. We went up and immediately flopped ion the bed. My dad instantly fell asleep, and my mom and I ordered food for the rest of us. The chicken wrap I had was good, and my mom and Yusuf both had pasta.

We only stayed at the hotel the whole day. Everyone was quite tired. At nightfall, my dad wanted to go out and take a walk. He didn't tell us where he's going, and I didn't feel like going anywhere out in the cold, so I stayed in with my mom and brother. After a few minutes, my dad came back with KFC in hand, wishing a happy birthday to mom! Looks like there's a surprise celebration!

We rounded in a table and took pictures. The celebration may be simple, but we enjoyed it.  It wasn't long until almost the whole bucket was finished (only two drumsticks were left) and no one had enough space for the cake. Plus, Yusuf wanted it for the next day.
