Letter to Myself (Poetry)

(As we're ending a new year... Here's a poem I wrote a while ago. ^^ If you like it, I'll post more poems from time to time.)

I once wrote myself a letter
A letter about my past
It's directed to 'me in the future'
And she has read it at last.

I once wrote myself a letter
A letter that relates my tale
Perhaps it does not matter
But it gives me clues and trails.

I once wrote myself a letter
A letter that tells my sorrow
The ink and writing grew fatter
Then reverts to thin and narrow.

I once wrote myself a letter
A letter to offer advice
To either support or deter
Useful tips for later in life.

I once wrote myself a letter
A letter about my mistakes
Choosing the former or latter
Ended up choosing the fakes.

I once wrote myself a letter
A letter that pleads for help
Perhaps now I feel better
But I keep doubting myself.

KYUEM - Induction Week!

Assalamualaikum, friends! Today is Sunday. one day right after the end of my induction programme in my new college, KYUEM! That's right. I'm officially a college student now. I'll tell you everything about it (except for the things that should be kept secret from future juniors!). Tuesday morning, my parents and I hauled all my stuff into the boot of the car. Only my parents went with me because it was 6.30 in the morning, my brother was asleep and my grandparents would go see me later in the week. It wasn't too dark outside as we departed. Lembah Beringin was about over an hour from Bangi, so we expected to arrive at around 8 - 8.30am. Along the way, I took some shut eye and we stopped for breakfast at an R&R. I ate nasi lemak and took a soya bean milk. I didn't feel too nervous actually, but I was hoping that I gain some friends this week. Then we continued on the road and arrived around 8.40am. I'm Back! (Summary of 2017 So Far)

Assalamualaikum, everyone! It's been so long (and this blog is getting dustier, covered in all these cobwebs) and I missed blogging so much! Alhambdulillah, all praises to Allah for giving me the opportunity to write right now! First things first. Thank you guys for still reading my posts. You guys are the best. Second, happy new year (even though it's almost February)! I thought of blogging on New Year's Eve, but I was on a plane; I'll tell the story in another post. Oh, How I Love Books!

Assalamualaikum and welcome again! Thank you all for reading this post. Today I'd like to write about my hobbies (mainly about how I love to read and write). If you view my complete profile, I have many interests. But all of them come from books. Storytelling, reading, writing, maths, science, mystery, adventure, even travelling, all come from books. Well, let me do this one-by-one. Why do I like books? I don't like them, of course, but I LOVE them! So, why? I love books because it's fun to read. Well, I prefer fictional books over facts, but non-fictional (which are facts) books are very interesting. I love reading mystery and adventurous books with mind-boggling puzzles and riddles. I even kept a book about spies, breaking codes, and even a book about how to code and decode. I also love the adventurous books written by the famous authors Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl.
