School Holidays: Italy! (Part V)

We arrived back in Milan when it was already dark. We took the Metro to Brenta to buy groceries at Carrefour. After buying those things, we walked to a little place called Chicken Cottage. It's Halal. My mother said it tastes like KFC. So we requested for takeaway for all the food and took a bus back to Zambala.

We arrived at Zambala, all tired and weary and sleepy. We ate the Chicken Cottage food first. It was so delicious! It kind of did taste like KFC. Then we performed Maghrib and Isya' prayer, and I started this blog post....

The next day, I woke up to perform Fajr prayer, then continued this blog. My mother had to go to work. In th morning my father made Nasi Lemak for breakfast, but I didn't eat yet. My father and Yusuf ate first. WE also checked opened the balcony doors and played outside for a while. It must've been four or five degrees, because water vapor escaped our mouths when we breathe. After a few hours, Dad and Yusuf had gone back to sleep when I checked on them. I felt  hungry, so I ate the Nasi Lemak before continuing to write. Nothing really happened that day. We didn't do much. In the afternoon, my father woke up to no lunch (I can't cook). Mom had prepared fish in the fridge and told us to fry it. So when my brother woke up, the three of us had rice with fried fish and anchovies. Not really what I'd prefer, but better than I thought it would be. After lunch, my father said we would go to San Donato this evening to see my mother's new place. So we got ready, performed Zuhr and 'Asr prayer, and set off to the Metro station.

We took the Metro to travel to San Donato, where my mother agreed to meet us. Yusuf was carried by my father in his baby carrier. There were lots of people there, mainly because many people work there. Mom said to meet her in front of the coffee shop, but she wasn't there yet. We waited for about ten minutes, then my mother had just arrived. We climbed up the stairs and went to a little park where we waited for  the agent of the...house-renting company, I guess. He came a few minutes later and gave us a ride to the house.

It was an apartment. A comfy one, actually. The owners of the house were very nice. They provided us with everything we needed. There was a kitchen, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room and a balcony. It was really neat and convenient. The second bedroom was my favorite. It has a bunk bed, but it was, well, different. It's better. And very charming too. Overall, I really love the neat little house.

We went back to the Metro and stopped at Brenta to eat at Döner Kebap. Again, we ate my favorite Pizza Kebap. Yum! My mother asked if she could perform Maghrib prayer here, but the owner of the shop said she couldn't, so she didn't. After eating, we went to a Muslim grocery chop (I can't remember the name). My mother prayed there while my father and I searched for things to buy. The owners of the shop were friendly and gave me free sausages. We went home, all full and sleepy, but performed Maghrib and Isya' prayer first before going to sleep.

(To be continued...)
