Family Day

Assalamualaikum wrh wbt,

Thank you for reading this blog of mine. I manage to find time to write a new post. I want to share about the wonderful my family had on this past Saturday.

My school, Sri Ayesha, had arranged a family day on the last day of February which is Saturday. It is held at Impian Country Resort in Hulu Langat. I went there with my parents, brother and my cousin. My other cousins went to Malacca.

We arrived there a little late so we missed the kid's activities and the father's activities. We still have time for the mother's activities and the family activities, but we never made it because my cousin and I are busy playing in the river.

I played in the river, splashing my friends. Some of my friends brought their younger brothers and sisters so our part of the river was more like a nursery swimming pool. Some cried, some got angry at my friend for splashing them, some played with a balloon. I tried hard not to splash them because the water was really cold. We took pictures together too. We also became curious at what was flowing in the river (there was a curious-looking plant that none of us knew about). Some of my friends -- and their siblings -- hadn't brought an extra scarf so I tried hard not to splash the scarf they were wearing. But it turns out they splash their scarves themselves. We all splashed the almost-birthday girl name Zaiti until she's soaking wet (as a congratulation). While having a great time, we saw something on a near wall. It was a school name. It said Sekolah Wira Bakti and had a motto that says in the Malay language of 'We will change...'. My friend said that it was a juvenile school for bad kids. I didn't ask any further, After a long time playing, I got hungry and tired and told my friends I wanted to go up to look for my mother.

I don't have to look for her. She was at the main place talking to her friends. My father and brother was not there so I searched for them. My father -- holding Yusuf on his left shoulder -- was also talking to his friends. I have to cross the river to get to them. Yusuf was nearly asleep so my father asked me to freshen him up with water so that he stays awake. But my hands and clothes are nearly dry by that time and the river is far down so I used just a little bit of water still on my hands. That didn't do much because he still looked sleepy.

We went back to my mother and fed my little brother. He was really hungry. My cousin was also out of the river and we went to the toilet to change to our dry clothes. When we were done, we took some snacks to eat at the main place. One of my friends -- my class teacher's daughter -- came to see my brother for the first time. She tried to hold him, but he cried of discomfort and my mother took him. My father was sleeping at that time, so we decided to stay a little longer -- and let Yusuf play with a little boy -- before going back home.

On the way back, we all got thirsty and bought some coconut shakes to drink along the way. They were very delicious. Yusuf kept trying to drink it through the straw -- but, of course, he can't suck it (he could only bite it)

.

That night, we went to iOi City Mall. We ate our dinner at The Chicken Rice Shop and looked over the things in a big market. We didn't have much time, so we went back home when the mall closed. That's all I would like to write in this post for today..Assalamualaikum.

  1. Salam husna, my nephews and niece are in ayesha too and I went to the same uni with your parents. Nice writing, keep it up, before you know, it will flow like a river. If you love flowery words like I do, perhaps you should start reading poems. ;)
