Another New Year
Assalamualaikum! It's an honour to type in this blog again. This post will tell you about my journeys recently. I will label them one by one with numbers.
1. MY NEW LITTLE BROTHER
Alhamdulillah....thanks to Allah I have a new baby brother named Ahmad Yusuf Husaini. He was born on Tuesday 24th June 2014. We were all so happy. I haven't told you I also have a new cousin named Nur Maizatul Haziqah who was borned on 27th January 2014. Now my brother is almost 8 months and my cousin is already a year old! My brother doesn't know how to walk yet but he's learning in his walker. my cousin knows how to walk now and understands my grandparents' and her parents' instructions. My grandparents takes care of her during the weekdays in our house while my aunt goes to work. It' so fun living with babies. they are very noisy. they scream, laugh, cry, try to talk, try to walk and do lots of other funny things.
2. A NEW MAID
My mother hired a maid before Yusuf was borned. Her work is to help my mother take care of Yusuf and the house. I'm still not used to her but I think I will soon. She does a good work taking care of everything but sometimes I help her take care of Yusuf when she wants to do other chores.
3. STANDARD 6
This year is the year I will be sitting on my UPSR and PSRA Examination. We started our tuitions now too. My class is in standard 6 Ibnu Abbas. there are three classes altogether in standard 6 which are Ibnu Abbas, Ibnu 'Arabi and Ibnu Kathir. Ibnu Abbas has 23 pupils; 15 girls and 8 boys. Ibnu Kathir has 21 pupils and Ibnu 'Arabi has 15 pupils. There are a few people who moved to another school. My friend from my class last year, Nadzirah, moved to Miri, Sarawak due to her fahter's work there. Another girl called Umaira also left the school and moved to Putrajaya Presint 18 and a girl called Balqis moved to the school near her house but I didn't have the chance to ask were that is. Balqis and Umaira paid us a visit during Thaipusam because we didn't have a holiday. I was so happy to see them again but I hope I could see Nadzirah again too.
This year is a very busy year and is crammed with homeworks. We've had a seminar on the 7th and 8th of February in which we learned the UPSR subjects;English, Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu and Science. There were four expert teachers and one or two of them are probably UPSR examiners. They were very funny. I learned many things from that seminar.
It was very hard to understand the subjects in standard 6, but with the help of previous years' topics and teachers, we all can understand them.
I am now one of the prefects in school. It is kind of hard to guard the discipline of the pupils in primary school. But I tried anyway.
4. MSSD BADMINTON
On January, I was one of the chosen (or rather, I chose) to play badminton in MSSD Tournament. I was paired with my friend Aqielah. It was very fun. The first day of the tournament, the single players played first. the boys lost to other schools in the first round and can't go on. My friend Aminah also lost. but this one girl called Sarah is an expert. she won the first round and could go on to the second round. In the second round, Sarah's opponent is a Chinese girl. At least I think she was a girl. Unfortunately she lost this one but she'd got many cool moves in this tournament. My favourite was when she lost her balance but she was facing at the back. She heard the sound of her opponent's racket touching the shuttlecock and looked back. She had no time to turn her body around so she held the racket in front of her and sent the shuttlecock flying behind her. She'd got a point for that action because her opponent can't catch it. I t was miraculously incredible. We clapped our hands at the side of the court while feeling a huge admiration. Sarah didn't see it herself so we told her that she won that point. She was also surprised by her action.
The next day, it's the paired players' turn. Aminah and Wafea played first. Well, I wouldn't say play. They won without playind because there were no opponents. Aqielah and I were also like that. So, the girls won the first round and again, the boys lost. The second round started and Aminah and Wafea won! This time there is an opponent which was from SJK(T) West Country. I wouldn't say the opponents were amateurs, but I guess they can't cooperate with each other. Well, unfortunately for me and Aqielah, we lost.
The next day was round three and only Aminah and Wafea went to the tournament. They said they lost to SJK(C) On Pong or something like that. That was unfortunate but good because now we could concentrate on our studies.
5. FAMILY DAY
This month, we'll have a Family Day practice every week. Primary School Level 1 will have their practice every Tuesdays, Level 2 on Wednesdays and Secondary School on Thursdays. there are activities like netball, football, obstacle race and more. We are all divided into four groups. I am in group 3. In netball, I am the goal shooter. I am not good at shooting but after my teachers and friends told me to buy some time and aim, I could make 3 goals in 2 weeks. Two goals are also made from our team, but it wasn't from me, it was from the goal attacker. Only goal shooters and attackers can shoot the ball into the net. there also other positions like goal keeper, goal defender, wing attacker, wing defender and center. My class teacher, Teacher Sazrina became the referee. We played for 4 minutes and rested for 2 minutes. Then, we continued playing for another 4 minutes. I don't know what the obstacle race participants have to do. I haven't had any time to watch them play.
